Dr. Sunny Kumar is an experienced professional recognized for engaging directly with healthcare companies and mentoring them in the areas of technology, commercialization and investment with the goal of positioning them for attracting capital and growth. He has been appointed to numerous Boards, a role in which he has provided strategic and operational guidance to startup companies. He has also advised a Canadian based institutional investor on a late stage clinical asset for a neurodegenerative indication. Dr. Kumar has extensive venture capital experience thru which he has led numerous transactions in which several millions of dollars have been deployed. Dr. Kumar was appointed to the Board of Directors of TiE Toronto, a not-for-profit that facilitates entrepreneurship. Dr. Kumar holds Masters and Doctoral degrees from the University of Toronto and completed post-doctoral studies at Harvard Medical School.
