Andy is an international renewable energy executive with 15+ years of work experience and 12+ years leading teams in China. He currently is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Clean Energy Associates, a supply chain, quality assurance and engineering services advisory firm with 30+ employees providing solutions in the solar energy industry.
Since founding CEA in 2008, he has worked with clients in 20+ countries and manages teams in the US, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Chile and China. Prior to CEA, Andy was Vice President of Business Development for Trina Solar where he oversaw the company’s international expansion plans covering supply chain, international business development, capital raising and corporate development. Together with the executive team, he helped raise nearly $500 million in capital during Trina’s IPO, follow-on and convertible bond offerings on the New York Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2008. Andy also served as a Board Member of both the US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and a joint venture of the Wolong Holdings Group in China. Prior to 2006, Andy worked in sales, business development and strategic planning roles in China for corporations such as Dell and Intel, and several U.S. based technology startups.
Andy holds a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He speaks Mandarin with advanced business proficiency and resides in Shanghai, China with his wife and two daughters. He is passionate about environment conservation and living his life in line with these values.
