Samer is a business professional with experience in private equity, social finance and investment banking. He is currently a Vice President at Persistence Capital Partners, a growth and buyout private equity firm focused on healthcare. Prior to PCP, Samer was at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing where he developed innovative partnerships and investment products that address complex social problems with market solutions, with a particular focus on preventative healthcare. Before MaRS, he was with Scotiabank’s Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking group where he was involved in several investment and sale mandates with corporate and financial clients. He started his career as a mechanical engineer with Vale.
Samer serves on the board of the Harvard Business School Club of Toronto. He also acts as an adviser to SoukTel, a digital solutions provider for the aid and international development sector. He holds a B.Eng from McGill University and an MBA from Harvard University, both earned with Distinction.
