Hira has over 20 years of business experience in the corporate world spanning the biotech, consumer, industrial, education and technology sectors. He is currently Co-Founder & CEO of Haplo Therapeutics, a biotech company advancing small molecule therapeutics principally for rare neurodevelopmental and common neurodegenerative diseases. Hira was previously a Director within Scotiabank’s Investment Banking Division in Toronto, as well as a Vice President at Deutsche Bank in New York. Through his time at Scotiabank and Deutsche Bank, Hira advised on over $14 billion of transactions involving mergers, acquisitions and financings. Prior to his career in finance, Hira held progressively senior roles in brand and product management working for Procter & Gamble and Nestle.
Beyond work, Hira is passionate about film with a particular interest in documentaries that advocate positive social change. Hira graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
